While speaking in the briefing officials said the statement released by the Sri-Lankan government about the completing of resettlement in the North and East was false and officials also said government is failed to complete the resettlement programme as it announced to the international. Officials also went on to say during the three decades of war 40,000 people were injured and there are 90,000 widows in the North and East. They further said at least one person was killed or injured in the every family who are presently living in the war affected areas. Indian officials also added there are two major IDP camps under the control of Sri-Lankan Army. |
